1. Who we are

Ampoise ("we", "us", or "our") is a software-as-a-service platform built and operated from San Francisco, California. Ampoise monitors industry news and uses artificial intelligence to help professionals draft and publish thought leadership content on LinkedIn and other platforms. 2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use Ampoise:

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign up via our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Social platform credentials. When you connect LinkedIn or X (Twitter), we store OAuth access tokens that allow us to read your profile and publish posts on your behalf. We never store your social media passwords.
  • Notification preferences. If you enable notifications, we store your notification email address and/or phone number for the purpose of sending you SMS and email alerts.
  • Content preferences. Your industry selections, RSS feed subscriptions, keyword filters, drafting preferences (tone, word count), and synthesis schedule settings.
  • Generated content. Draft posts created by our AI on your behalf, your edits to those drafts, and your approval or rejection decisions.
  • Usage data. Log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature interactions for the purpose of improving the product.
  • Billing information. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We retain billing history and subscription status.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Ampoise service.
  • To synthesize news articles into draft LinkedIn posts using AI on your behalf.
  • To publish approved content to your connected social media accounts.
  • To send you email and SMS notifications about newly generated drafts, when you have opted in.
  • To personalise your voice model as you approve and edit drafts over time.
  • To process your subscription payments and send billing receipts.
  • To respond to your support requests and communicate service updates.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.

4. AI and third-party services

Ampoise uses the following third-party services to deliver its features. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — powers our content synthesis. Article summaries and your drafting preferences are sent to Anthropic's API to generate posts. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models by default. See anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Clerk — manages user authentication and session tokens. See clerk.com/privacy.
  • LinkedIn — we access your LinkedIn profile and post to your account using OAuth with your explicit permission. See LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
  • Twilio SendGrid — sends email notifications. Your notification email address is shared with SendGrid solely for delivery purposes. See SendGrid Privacy Policy.
  • Twilio — sends SMS notifications. Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for delivery purposes. See Twilio Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — processes subscription payments. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — hosts the Ampoise web application. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

5. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • With the third-party service providers listed above, strictly to operate the service.
  • If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Ampoise or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, in which case we will notify you.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Draft posts and published content history are retained for the duration of your subscription. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion. Request that we delete your personal data.
  • Portability. Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of notifications. Disable email and SMS notifications at any time from your Settings page.
  • Disconnect social accounts. Revoke LinkedIn or X access at any time from your Settings → Connections page.

8. Cookies and tracking

Ampoise uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We may use anonymised analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the product.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage of OAuth tokens, and access controls. No system is completely secure; if you suspect a security issue, please contact us immediately at support@ampoise.com.

10. Children

Ampoise is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of Ampoise after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
